摘要: Brain tissue from 44 patients with Parkinson's disease (PD) and 36 age-matched controls was examined for choline acetyltransferase (ChAT) activity, densities of D1 D2 dopamine receptors. samples were Alzheimer' (AD) type changes Lewy bodies (LBs), apolipoprotein E genotype. Patients evaluated the stage cognitive impairment using Reisberg's global deterioration scale. ChAT activity in PD reduced all brain areas examined, being 51% control mean hippocampus (P<0.001), 57% prefrontal cortex (P<0.001) 64% temporal (P<0.001). The number LBs had a significant negative correlation both (r=–0.33, P<0.05) (r=–0.32, P<0.05). reduction (r=–0.38, P=0.012) extent impairment. When CERAD class 'C' excluded, correlated significantly (r=–0.52, P=0.0051) density receptors caudate nucleus (r=–0.40, P=0.037). putamen without neuroleptics as compared to controls. An increased receptor found treated neuroleptics. present study showed that decline is associated nucleus, even absence AD-type pathology.
