摘要: PURPOSE: To evaluate fibroblast proliferation activity of the Tenon capsule from primary and recurrent pterygia. METHODS: A randomized prospective study was performed with 43 surgical samples 30 13 pterygia, normal same pterygium patients. Proliferation, migration, confluence rate, patient age, lesion location type (fleshy or involutive; recurrent) were evaluated. Data submitted to statistical analysis. RESULTS: Of cultivated 21 migrated proliferated, 18 (60%) went confluence. Migration, started much later in fibroblasts than pterygia lesion. The showed proliferation, starting earlier ones. There no statistically significant difference start between fleshy involuted pterygias Grades I-II III-IV. CONCLUSION: Pterygium are more viable cell culture. differ Fleshy involutive similar culture; there is also according size
