摘要: BALB/c mice differ from CBA/H, (CBA/H x BALB/c)F1 and C57BL/6 in being highly susceptible to infection with a particular isolate of the intramacrophage protozoan parasite, Leishmania tropica. This is true over wide range challenge doses promastigotes administered intradermally although, at low doses, male are able restrict rate which cutaneous lesions increase size. Resistance hypothymic nude (nu/nu) CBA/H genotypes can be achieved readily as few 10(6) syngeneic lymphoid cells. In CBA/H.nu/nu mice, Lyl+2- cells dose cellular inocula appear involved restoring resistance (i.e. rapid resolution infection). Surprisingly, proportion BALB/c.nu/nu injected resistant thus intact or non-reconstituted mice. keeping high efficacy limited numbers T following minimal reconstitution, majority implanted subcutaneously allogeneic, irradiated, neonatal thymus grafts L. tropica infection.
