摘要: In mammalian neurons, long-lasting changes in the efficacy of individual synapses depend on synthesis new proteins. To maintain specificity, neuronal cells have to ensure that these newly synthesized proteins accumulate at appropriate subpopulation synapses. One way neurons solved this challenge appears be local translation extrasomatic mRNAs dendrites and postsynaptic sites. Mechanisms, which regulate targeting, translation, stability dendritic mRNAs, involve an organized interaction between cis-acting elements localized transcripts trans-acting RNA-binding The molecular identity cellular functions factors are likely play important role post-transcriptional processing now being elucidated.
