摘要: Pygidial segmentation in the trilobite Flexicalymene senaria changes with time (as measured relation to bentonite beds) and depth along downslopc transects bentomtc beds as by gradient analysis of fossil assemblages) a ‘fossil’ Middle Ordovician Trenton Group central New York State. The pattern strictly temporal change resembles ‘punctuation’ between ‘equilibria’. This evolutionary episode, 106 year interval continuous change, may represent parapatric speciation. clinal is strongest during this episode weak or not apparent outside it. Strictly takes place way cline's shape. □Evolution, geographic variation dines, analysis. Ordovician, morphometry, speciation, Trilobita.
