摘要: The mean lethal temperature of Melampus bidentatus Say ranged from −5 °C in July to −13 December. percentage tissue water frozen measured at the temperatures was 3% for snails collected summer and 74.9% winter. supercooling point whole −9 September −6.4 February. presence an ice nucleator is indicated by increase haemolymph −11.5 fall −7.5 Water content varied 2.6 mg water/mg dry weight 3.6 mg weight; however, there no correlation between low contents freezing tolerance. Whole animal glycerol 1.14 2.96 μmol/g fresh proline 1.20 2.19 μmol/g weight. Sorbitol trehalose were not detected.
