Dose-dependent effects of n-3 polyunsaturated fatty acids on platelet activation in mildly hypertriglyceridemic subjects.

摘要: Abstract The purpose of this study was to determine dose effects n-3 polyunsaturated fatty acids (PUFAs) on mean platelet volume (MPV) and count (PLT-CT) in mildly hypertriglyceridemic subjects. Subjects with a serum triglyceride level between 100 300 mg/dL were placed corn oil placebo for 4 weeks then randomly assigned groups taking seven capsules per day (n = 47) or one the following doses PUFAs 20 weeks: 0.5 g (n = 50), 1 g (n = 23), 2 g (n = 12). At end both period treatment period, MPV PLT-CT measured without stimulation (baseline 1 baseline 2 supplement period) after ex vivo collagen (10 μg/mL), cold (4°C), heat (37°C).
