摘要: Climate change mitigation scenarios provide an integrated perspective on the technologies and policies that are required to achieve various targets as well related costs. With threat of severe adverse impacts from climate becoming more apparent in view pledge by policy-makers meet stringent stabilization targets, further exploration low emission has become increasingly relevant. Although much progress been made recent years basis for a solid assessment different economic, environmental, social consequences, structured approach within realistic framework is required. First, uncertainties baseline assumptions independent policy need be taken into account. These reflect incomplete knowledge concerning drivers real-world developments, e.g. technology improvements or resource availability. In addition, it necessary analyze so-called second-best worlds which constraints deployment low-carbon imperfect regimes render effort difficult. The current challenge Integrated Assessment Modeling thus explore feasibility limitations strategies along three directions: (1) ambitious (2) explicit treatment assumptions, (3) scenarios. this article, we propose future research foci priorities run-up IPCC’s Fifth Report.  2011 John Wiley &
