摘要: In order to synthesize functional proteins, mRNA must be translated by the ribosome with a certain level of accuracy. As we will discuss below, our knowledge concerning levels precision ultimately attained translational machinery, especially at nascent polypeptide chain, is still incomplete. Furthermore, it interesting compare sparse data that exist results naive calculation following type: in correctly least 50% chains an enzyme as large β-galactosidase which contains 1169 amino acid residues, average error no larger than 1 1700 per residue can tolerated (Fig. 5.1).
