摘要: The metabolic syndrome (MetS) is defined as a cluster of 3 or more and cardiovascular risk factors represents serious problem for public health. Altered function adipose tissue has significant impact on whole-body metabolism key driver the development these derangements, collectively referred to MetS. In particular, increased visceral ectopic fat deposition play major role in insulin resistance A large body evidence demonstrates that aging MetS share several alterations. Of importance, molecular pathways regulate lifespan affect processes physiology, transgenic mouse models with adipose-specific alterations show derangements other features MetS, which highlights causal link between dysfunctional deleterious effects homeostasis. This review analyzes tissue-specific dysfunctions, including are related aging, have MetS.-Armani, A., Berry, Cirulli, F., Caprio, M. Molecular mechanisms underlying syndrome: expanding adipocyte.
