摘要: An intracranial serpentine aneurysm (SA) is a clinically rare entity, and very few multi-case studies on SA have been published. The present study reviewed the relevant literature available PubMed. studied information included formation mechanism natural history of as well its clinical manifestation, imaging characteristics, current treatments. After reviewing literature, we conclude that can be managed surgically by endovascular embolization, but degree blood flow in normal brain tissue distal to must evaluated. A balloon occlusion test (BOT) or cross compression recommended for this evaluation. If collateral circulation sufficiently compensatory, direct excision embolization performed. However, if compensatory poor, bypass surgery necessary. Satisfactory results achieved majority patients after treatment. size may increase some Special attention should paid cases exhibiting significant mass effect avoid subsequent due an intolerable effect. with careful treatment SA.
