Classification of lesions of the medial patello-femoral ligament in patellar dislocation.

摘要: The remnants of the medial patello-femoral ligament (MPFL) 67 knees, 18 with acute patellar dislocation and 49 chronic dislocation, were studied. MPFL injuries cases categorised into 2 groups: an avulsion tear type a substantial type. put 3 those loose femoral attachment (9 knees), scar tissue formation or abnormal branch (29 no evidence continuity (absent type) (11 knees). It is concluded that incompetence major factor in occurrence recurrent and/or unstable patella following dislocation.
