摘要: The fatigue results of a high-pressure die cast AZ91D magnesium alloy revealed the presence different types casting defects, which account for large scattering in number cycles until failure. In this paper, has been analysed, and an effort to reproduce same surface material conditions exhibited automotive service components, test samples were manufactured using that employs process equipment. To examine fracture all tests, scanning electron microscope was used, source failure, so as relate life with defect type, identified. Five influence behaviour observed classified: (a) isolated pores (blowholes), (b) micro-porosity areas, (c) circular shrinkage cavities associated contraction geometry casted specimen, (d) burrs die-casting mould (e) oxides or inclusions.
