摘要: Tooth color is caused by volume reflection, that is, passage of incident light through the tooth followed backward emergence. This concurrent with sideward displacement photons that, in effect, influences result usual instrumental methods determining color. problem overcome use large-field illumination and small-field observation. A fiber-optics colorimeter based on this principle described. The observed two holes a double box was visually matched subtractive adjustment illuminating one box, whereas other showed central part diffusely illuminated illuminant C light. tested wet, extracted human incisors arch phantom-head. Results were compared visual standard-strip method described previously conventional spectrophotometer. It concluded promising instrument, although technical improvement necessary.
