摘要: Endodontic management of the teeth with immature apices and necrotic pulps has always been challenging. Therefore fabrication an artificial hard tissue barrier a biomaterial indicated as alternative to more traditional apexification procedure. Successful endodontic treatment needs prevent leakage intracanal irritants into peri radicular tissues. On other hand, achieving ideal tight seal in open is if not impossible. To reach this goal placement good sealing properties suggested such cases. The aim study review on ability biomaterials apical plug. resources were PubMed, Google Scholar, using different keyword combinations including ‘immature tooth’, ‘open apex’, ‘sealing ability’, ‘micro leakage’, ‘endodontic’ ‘CEM cement’, ‘apical plug’, ‘calcium silicate’, ‘Endocem’, ‘portland ‘MTA’ ‘bio dentine’. All used may leak concentrations. Because importance long-term success endodontically treated these materials should be applied carefully. need for research field introduce new improved evident.
