摘要: Abstract The purpose of doing probabilistic structural analysis is to provide the designer with a more realistic ability assess importance uncertainty in response high performance structure. objective this five-year contract effort (NASA Contrast NAS3-24389) on Probabilistic Structural Analysis Methods (PSAM) development several modular packages capable predicting distribution for key variables such as stress, displacement, natural frequencies, buckling loads, transient responses, etc. include stochastic modeling material properties, geometry (e.g. tolerances), and boundary conditions. solution terms cumulative function (CDF) confidence bounds. Two methods probability are included packages. One these well established Monte Carlo simulation method; other fast integration (FPI) algorithm which will be discussed paper. PSAM tools can used estimate safety reliability, while providing engineer information that should given predicted behavior. Perhaps most critically, results those design sensitive.
