摘要: Variation in speed of seed germination was investigated among ponderosa pine trees representing 225 locations central Oregon. Results suggested that at least some the geographic variation is related to severity summer drought. In general, greater with short, drought-limited growing seasons. Levels were highest region having steepest precipitation gradients. Most occurred, however, within locations.
