摘要: Cyanobacteria have tremendous applications in areas such as production of biofuels and pharmaceutically important pigments are used an adsorbent for the removal toxic metabolites. However, large scale is not economically feasible due to high cost involved separation biomass. In this context, different attachment systems been developed growth on a solid support. study, simple economical system using polystyrene foam has presented. Results clearly indicate that biomass yield can be obtained attached when compared suspended system. system, showed 21.4%, total protein content 29.2%, chlorophyll 11.1%, carotenoid 13.1% increase The also support presence copper mine waste water with concomitant ions. These results were corroborated by COD analysis, which indicated significant reduction. Further, was It appears offers protection growing effectively employed coming from sources.
