摘要: Abstract Purpose To determine postoperative morbidity (POM) in patients undergoing surgery for uncomplicated hepatic echinococcosis (HE) and associations with the variable POM looking possible risk factors POM. Methods Nested case-control study. We included HE two hospitals Temuco between 2000 2012. The main outcome was development of Other variables interest were hospital stay, mortality recurrence. Surgical techniques used pericystectomy liver resection. Descriptive statistics analytical applied using T -test, ANOVA Kruskal–Wallis test to compare continuous variables; Chi 2 Fisher's exact categorical variables, logistic regression models used, estimating OR. Results 126 patients, median age 41 years, 61% female. incidence 10.3%, 76.9% Clavien grade I or II. etiology 6.5% 4.1% medical surgical complications, respectively. There no a follow-up 83 months, recurrence 0.8%. Association found cases controls age, alkaline phosphatase, cyst location stay. Applying ( p = 0.002 OR 1.07) = 0.003 3.94) be factors. Conclusions Observed is lower less severity than those previously published. Risk determined.
