摘要: Background Hydatidosis is an endemic zoonosis in some areas like South America, specifically Chile, Argentina and Uruguay. Liver hydatidosis (LH) has its own morbidity mortality due to evolutionary complications, which added the risk of complications related surgical procedures. The treatment LH can be divided into four phases: isolation area, evacuation cyst, cyst residual cavity. procedures classified as conservative radical. aim this study was present a general evidence-based overview aspects interest LH. Material methods An conducted. Articles published between 1990 2015, results surgery patients with were evaluated. PubMed, Web Science, SciELO Tripdatabase reviewed evaluated relation LH. Results 301 articles retrieved, 46 met selection criteria (3 systematic reviews, 2 controlled trials, 5 cohorts studies, 12 observational studies 24 case series). have level evidence 1b, 2a, 2b, 3a 4 prognostic therapy scenarios. Conclusions Articles found are few heterogeneous, making meaningful conclusions difficult. Studies better evidence, methodological quality population size needed make recommendations.
