摘要: This is the first comparative study of floral structure recently established new family Picrodendraceae (part Euphorbiaceae s.l.) in Malpighiales. Nine species eight (out ca. 28) genera were studied. Female flowers are mainly completely trimerous, and such perianth consists one or two whorls sepals. A disc (which probably functions as a nectary) mostly present. The free parts carpels simple (unbranched) all ten Each carpel contains crassinucellar, anatropous hemitropous, epitropous (antitropous) ovules, which covered by large obturator. inner integument thicker than outer (equally thick studied), commonly both integuments form micropyle. In mature ovules vascular bundle branches chalaza, with extending to base but not entering it. nucellar cap and, less often, beak formed. Floral supports close relationship Phyllanthaceae s.str. within Malpighiales, suggested (but yet strongly supported) some recent published molecular analyses. These three families share unique combination characters, including (1) unisexual, apetalous trimerous flowers, (2) crassinucellar beak, (3) obturator, (4) explosive fruits carunculate seeds.
