摘要: Noise, vibration, and harshness (NVH) can be predominate brake noise described as roughness/judder, creep groan, squeal, all of which are important issues concerns for customer satisfaction in the automotive industry. Brake roughness groan low-frequency vibration noise, while squeal is a high-frequency noise. These have been challenging engineers researchers many years due to their complex nature that involves multiple disciplines such nonlinear dynamics, contact mechanics, tribology or nanotribology. As body/chassis power-train arena, laser metrology uniquely applied NVH shed light on this issue. Engineers gain insight fundamental root causes provide guidance optimal design resolution. We some examples illustrate recent progress novel applications holographic interferometry, pulsed electronic speckle pattern Doppler vibrometry methodology identify verify engineering solutions.
