摘要: OBJECTIVE —Interleukin (IL)-6 is a proinflammatory cytokine that implicated in the pathogenesis of atherosclerosis and insulin resistance. Both endothelial dysfunction resistance are among earliest abnormalities can be detected people at risk for cardiovascular events. We aimed to evaluate whether increased serum IL-6 concentrations associated with independent sensitivity apparently healthy men. RESEARCH DESIGN AND METHODS —Association studies were performed well-characterized nondiabetic Caucasian men ( n = 99) recruited energy balance studies. Insulin (minimal model) brachial vascular reactivity (high-resolution external ultrasound) assessed. Circulating measured by enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay. RESULTS —Serum was an contributor variance endothelium-dependent vasodilatation after adjusting age, BMI, smoking status, LDL cholesterol, systolic blood pressure, diastolic P 0.001). In fact, circulating negatively r −0.247, 0.014) −0.262, 0.011) correlated positively age 0.241, 0.016), BMI 0.240, 0.017), pressure 0.299, 0.003), 0.295, triglycerides 0.212, 0.035). No significant associations observed between endothelium-independent concentrations. CONCLUSIONS —Circulating linked independently
