摘要: Peptide mapping and isoelectric focusing were used to compare the major outer membrane pore proteins from various strains of Escherichia coli K-12, including carrying mutations in nmpA, nmpB, nmpC genes which result production new proteins. Proteins 1a, 1b, 2 NmpA each gave unique peptide profiles, indicating that these are different polypeptides. The protein NmpB appeared be identical by criteria. NmpC nearly identical, although one was observed comparing proteolytic maps there slight differences their profiles. Antiserum against showed partial cross-reactivity with protein. These results indicate E. K-12 fall into four classes.
