摘要: Standard pretreatment staging for gastric cancer includes CT of the chest, abdomen, and pelvis; gastroscopy; laparoscopy. Although 18F-PET combined with has proven to be a useful tool in many cancers, some cancers are not 18F-FDG–avid its clinical value is still debatable. Methods: Gastric patients who underwent 18F-FDG PET scans from 2002 2013 at Peter MacCallum Cancer Center were retrospectively analyzed, systematic review was also conducted using PubMed between 2000 March 2014 investigate clinicopathologic parameters associated avidity. A scoring system developed predictors Results: Both retrospective analysis literature showed similar significant avidity, including large tumor size, non–signet ring cell carcinoma type, glucose transporter 1–positive expression on immunohistochemistry. these that allowed tumors detected sensitivity 85% specificity 71%. Conclusion: can assist selection adenocarcinoma when being considered.
