A Pan-European study on children's online experiences: contributions from cognitive testing

摘要: The EU Kids Online research on children’s experience of and ability to cope with risks faced several challenges: the large number countries involved (25 countries); 2) interviewees were children aged from 9-16 (along one parent), 3) main focus was sensitive topic online risks. In order address these challenges prior survey, cognitive testing conducted in all participating countries. This in-depth interviews evaluate understanding questionnaire, their answer each question, any ambiguities or other difficulties that emerged general how felt about process answering questions. paper reports issues arose, questionnaire (re)designed, hence overall relevance tests insights they provide more generally for cross-national surveys those aimed at children.
