摘要: At Bird Island, South Georgia, we studied the effects of tick Ixodes uriae on survival chicks at two colonies black-browed albatross Diomedea melanophrys, one where most were infested with ticks, other tick-free. When compared, it was found that colony heavily-infested ticks had significantly greater chick mortality than lightly-infested ticks. However, within each colonies, there no significant difference in between and those without
