摘要: Seven virus isolations from Ixodes Uriae collected during July 1971 a puffin ( Fratercula arctica ) colony on Great Island, Newfoundland, Canada were identified by complement-fixation tests as belonging to the Kemerovo-Tribec complex of Kemerovo serogroup orbiviruses. Neutralization indicated that 2 new members represented in 7 isolates. These agents are designated Island (prototype strain CanAr 41) and Bauline 14). Both inactivated exposure pH 3.0. 41 was resistant sodium deoxycholate, ether, chloroform, while 14 susceptible these solvents. No hemagglutinin demonstrated for either using goose erythrocytes. kills suckling mice intracerebral (ic) intraperitoneal (ip) inoculation weanling ic but not ip routes; is fatal suckling, weanling, inoculated ip. viruses kill day-old chicks subcutaneous routes.
