摘要: A total of 1929 Ixodes uriae collected from Rost Islands, Lofoten, Norway, in July 1974, was divided into 204 pools and inoculated suckling mice chick embryo cell cultures for virus isolation. Virus detected 6.6% the laboratory-molted female ticks, 5.4% males 1.8% nymphs. No isolates were obtained 149 unengorged adult ticks. Of 50 viral strains recovered, 30 belonged to Uukuniemi group, 13 Kemerovo I a strain Tyuleniy Group B. 6 untyped strains, orbiviruslike resembled coronavirus negative-staining electron microscopy. The infection rates I. uria Lofoten similar those reported Murmansk area northern USSR.
