摘要: Viruses were isolated from two of three pools the tickIxodes uriae collected a puffin(Fratercula arctica) colony on Shiant islands. One pool contained an orbivirus whereas evidence both orbi- and bunyaviruses was found in second pool. Serological tests showed that orbiviruses related to Cape Wrath virus Kemerovo serogroup; bunyavirus appeared be Clo Mor Sakhalin serogroup. The results indicate interchange viruses may occur within seabird colonies north-west Scotland.
