摘要: Wadis are a vital source of water in most arid and semi-arid countries. Catastrophic flash floods occurring wadis threat to many societies. The Wadi Mekerra basin the North-West Algeria represents one these regions affected by has been always main concerns managers Sidi Bel Abbes province. In this work, we present climatic hydromorphometric features watershed. We discuss factors that cause flooding studied catchment. A hydraulic model based on Runge-Kutta Discontinuous Galerkin (RKDG) finite element scheme limited (existing) field data was applied compared with measured flow data. objective assess whether reliable flood routing region could be developed, cross section supplemented topographic map information. comparison between simulated results shows used is appropriate for determining hydrograph at outlet watercourse.
