Rapid Quenching Technique Using Thermal-Image Furnace for Glass Preparation

摘要: A new technique combining a thermal-image furnace and twin roller is described for quenching the melt to form glass. The was applied simple system Li2O-SiO2, since its fundamental parameters in estimation of critical cooling rate are available. Glass flakes were obtained composition Li4SiO4, which very large (∼109 K·s−1) needed glass formation.
