Design optimization of Quasi-flat linear PM generator for wave energy converter in south coast of Java using flower pollination algorithm

摘要: South coast of Java has been highly preferred as the placement location wave energy converter, due to its relatively huge potential. Furthermore, linear permanent magnet generator (LPMG) became one popular methods convert electrical energy. Based on shape stator core, there are several models LPMG. Quasi-flat LPMG is them, which rectangular core shape. In this paper, quasi-flat would be designed and optimized. The design considered characteristics in south Java. Meanwhile, optimization was performed minimize resulted copper loss for equal output power. To achieve goal, flower pollination algorithm (FPA) used. This continuously adjusts geometrical parameter by certain mechanism until objective function met. results showed that could reduce about 71.95%. It also increased efficiency from 83.2% 95.28%.
