摘要: The diet of the Tawny Owl (Strix aluco) from five administrative districts in Lithuania was studied breeding seasons 1999–2005. A total 67 samples with 3,211 prey items were analysed. common dormouse (Muscardinus avellanarius) comprised 2.0% by numbers and 1.4% biomass consumed. difference between 2.3-fold 2.6-fold, accordingly. It is obvious that this species not a primary prey, but 15 mammals 30 bird represented exceeding M. avellanarius. Thus, we do consider avellanarius among rarest items. Moreover, Lithuania, especially central part (Kėdainiai district), share S. aluco one highest Europe.
