摘要: Magnaporthe rhizophila sp.nov. is described from roots of wheat grown in soil a millet ( Setaria ) field Transvaal, South Africa. The fungus grew as dark runner hyphae on cereal and caused vascular discolouration artificial inoculations wheat. In culture it formed Phialophora conidial stage indistinguishable the germinating take-all Gaeumannomyces graminis , with which might be confused absence sexual structures.
