摘要: A panel of monthly aggregate data from the Northwest Spain is used to estimate domestic water demand functions under linear and non-linear tariffs. Price, billing, climatic, sociodemographic variables are as explanatory variables. The use intraannual constitutes a relevant contribution in European context. Overall marginal price elasticity estimates lie between −0.12 −0.17. Summer-only elasticities associated with uses beyond effectively free allowances seem significantly higher. Climatic affect use, although probably less than other wealthier drier areas. Domestic appears be normal good.
