摘要: Abstract Concentrations of volatile organic compounds (VOCs) were measured at a site in central Seoul from 8 to 13 September 1998. On each sampling day, three 2-h-integrated canister samples collected the morning, afternoon and evening, respectively, observe diural variations VOCs. Most VOCs species showed diurnal with higher concentrations during morning lower afternoon. However, afternoon, aromatic compounds, closely correlated solvent usage such as toluene, ethylbenzene, m-/p-xylene, o-xylene, slightly than or comparable those morning. This may be due increase evaporative emissions derived rise ambient temperature additional sources use solvents painting, printing dry cleaning. To estimate participation individual ozone formation, propylene equivalent calculated. The results that toluene was most dominant contributor formation well VOC concentrations. Toluene/benzene m-/p-xylene/benzene ratios high observed low evening. because contribution by on is more vehicle-related photochemical loss.
