摘要: We report a case of pulmonary zygomycosis in an adult male diabetic patient who presented with fever and altered sensorium initially later developed streaky haemoptysis. Bronchoscopy showed picture necrotizing pneumonia. Sputum was negative for fungal elements on admission but bronchial wash repeat sputum samples were positive by microscopy culture growth Rhizopus species. Immediately the put amphotericin B had bout massive haemoptysis succumbed. A high index suspicion is needed early diagnosis aggressive treatment this infection view mortality rate.
