摘要: Recent studies have shown that neurodevelopmental disturbances in the structure and function of brain are significant factors onset psychiatric disorders. Such deficits may also affect neurotransmission. Among different neurotransmitter systems, serotonin (5-HT) plays an important role organisation maturation structures during development. The aim present study was to examine influence neonatal 5-HT depletion on emotional exploratory behaviours adult rats. Three-day-old Wistar male rats received intraventricular injections selective neurotoxin 5,7-dihydroxytryptamine (5,7-DHT). Littermates given saline acted as controls. After three months, rat behaviour analysed open field test, a social interaction test novel object test. Moreover, contextual-conditioned freezing ultravocalisation fear responses were studied. pain reactivity measured flinch-jump Biochemical analysis 5,7-DHT-treated revealed decrease concentration its metabolite frontal cortex, hippocampus striatum, with decreased dopamine level striatum. Early reduced locomotor activity attenuated non-aversive conditions exploration Ultravocalisation, but not freezing, increased contextual fear-conditioning paradigm 5-HT-depleted There no difference threshold between groups. These data demonstrate resulted subtle alterations locomotor, conditioned response animals.
