摘要: Exosomes have recently appeared as a novel source of non-invasive cancer biomarkers since tumor-specific molecules can be found in exosomes isolated from biological fluids. We previously analyzed the proteome urinary by mass spectrometry, and identified proteins differentially expressed prostate patients compared to healthy males. Since spectrometry is so far not commonly used clinical laboratories, we here investigated whether antibody-based methods such Western blot or ELISA validate use biomarkers. experiments designed detect flotillin 2, TMEM256, Rab3B LAMTOR1 showed that level these was higher Furthermore, receiver operating characteristic curve 2 samples 16 controls an area under 0.91, 88% sensitivity at threshold set give 94% specificity. In addition, ELISA-based detection PARK7 combination able distinguish with 68% 93% Several promising could evaluated due their low exosomal amount and/or lack good antibodies. conclusion, our results show several high diagnostic value also when immunology-based methods, thus bringing closer potential use.
