摘要: Nanoindentation is a technique for measuring the elastic modulus and hardness of small amounts materials. This method, which has been used extensively characterizing metallic inorganic solids, now being applied to organic metalorganic crystals, also become relevant subject crystal engineering, concerned with design molecular solids desired properties functions. Through nanoindentation it possible correlate molecular-level such as packing, interaction characteristics, inherent anisotropy micro/macroscopic events desolvation, domain coexistence, layer migration, polymorphism, solid-state reactivity. Recent developments exciting opportunities in this area are highlighted Minireview.
