摘要: This chapter reviews what has been learnt about how pathways from smaller size at birth through rapid infancy weight gain lead to future disease risk. The association between low and increased risk for type 2 diabetes (T2D), in particular, is often only evident after allowing larger current body size, implying a dependence on the transition overweight or obesity adulthood. link T2D childhood attributed development of insulin resistance.
