摘要: The accident at Three Mile Island Unit 2 on March 28, 1979, presented the world with a unique historical example for study. It illustrated how people react to what press labeled “nuclear disease.” This was “disaster” without noise or evidence of damage. TMI community could not see feel sense anything other than transmitted in form news reports. Under such circumstances seem flavor (upbeat, downbeat) pattern (relaxing, worsening) reports and particularly basis preconceptions risks involved. On 30th, when approximately one-third Middletown left area, many were unable utilize logical thought process arriving course action. Still today, two years after accident, residents have mixed feelings about nuclear energy TMI. is difficult accept fact that off-the-island, all practical purposes, had no effect. Even more conclusion progressed further it did (melt down) containment would still been breeched. There “China Syndrome.”
