The Breakdown of Cooperation and Environmental Degradation: An Analytical Framework

摘要: This paper considers an analytical framework looking into the phenomena of cooperative institutional breakdown and consequent environmental degradation. Such are seen in many developing countries. The analysis utilises a game theoretic approach to explain how internal degenerates original one-shot Prisoner’s Dilemma model due changes payoffs, trust discount factors, brought by outsiders.
