摘要: This paper considers an analytical framework looking into the phenomena of cooperative institutional breakdown and consequent environmental degradation. Such are seen in many developing countries. The analysis utilises a game theoretic approach to explain how internal degenerates original one-shot Prisoner’s Dilemma model due changes payoffs, trust discount factors, brought by outsiders. We provide illustrative case description upland migration Philippines. To extent that underling assumptions approximate actual conditions, theoretical is expected and/or predict processes real may not be precisely observable.
