摘要: Spatial learning and navigation depend on neural representations of location direction within the environment. These representations, encoded by place cells head cells, respectively, are dominantly controlled visual cues, but require input from vestibular system. Vestibular signals play an important role in forming spatial both non-visual environments, details this contribution not fully understood. Here, we review system generating various rodents, focusing primarily cells. We also examine system’s possible pathways which information is conveyed to higher centers.
