摘要: Races of a C3 plant species, Arabidopsis thaliana, were screened for time survival when enclosed in an air-tight chamber with C4 species (Zea mays L.). This has been suggested as method detecting and selecting increased photosynthetic efficiency among genotypes. The should, such conditions, reduce the atmospheric CO2 concentration below compensation point plant, resulting its eventual death. Significant differences found A. thaliana races time; some survived only one week competition corn while others more than two weeks. Two races, chosen contrasting closed chambers, hybridized compared to their F2 progeny time. Substantial genetic segregation occurred F2, number transgressive segregates having times superior both parents identified. Also significant heterosis was observed population.
