摘要: Heterosis, the phenotypic superiority of a hybrid over its parents, has been demonstrated for many traits in Arabidopsis thaliana, but effect on defence remains largely unexplored. Here, we show that hybrids between some A. thaliana accessions increased resistance to biotrophic bacterial pathogen Pseudomonas syringae pv. tomato (Pst) DC3000. Comparisons transcriptomes these and their parents after inoculation reveal several key salicylic acid (SA) biosynthesis genes are significantly upregulated hybrids. Moreover, SA levels higher than either parent. Increased Pst DC3000 is compromised pad4 mutants which pathway blocked. Finally, histone H3 acetylation correlates with upregulation infected Our data demonstrate enhanced activation may contribute pathogen.
