摘要: In rats, administration of Casearia sylvestris extract derived from fresh and dried leaves protects stomach mucosa without changing gastric pH. stress-induced acute lesions, the preventive effect is more effective than leaves. acetic acid-induced chronic ulcer, both extracts reduce size ulceration increase number collagen fibers after 5 days treatment, these effects are similar with extracts. These antiulcer activities may be due to presence volatile oils, tannins triterpenerelated compounds.
