摘要: Abstract Aerosol, an uncertain component of the climate system, has attracted wide attention among researchers due to its role in hydrological cycle and radiation budget a changing climate. According IPCC 5th assessment report, current understanding aerosol–cloud–precipitation interaction is low moderate, as result they are not well represented models, turn recognized major uncertainties future projections. In South Asian monsoon regions, aerosol forcing response water even more complicated. Substantial amount transported dust from Middle East countries adjacent deserts get accumulated over Indian subcontinent (mainly North India Indo Gangetic Plains; IGP) further coated with black carbon (BC) produced local emission, which make atmospheric physics chemistry complex region. Here we review earlier studies recapitulate our absorbing aerosols on circulation rainfall observational evidences variety numerical model simulations. This begins interactions summer monsoon, followed by discussion various working hypotheses, modeling perspective, remote impacts. The key open questions suggestions for research priorities delineated improve about relationship between monsoon.
