摘要: In the Ibaraki population (Japan) of Locusta migratoria, adult locusts produce diapause eggs under short-day (SD) conditions and non-diapause long-day (LD) conditions. The identity titre ecdysteroids in ovaries from LD SD females were investigated by RIA/HPLC. Maternal accumulated developing represented about 90% polar conjugates, 5% free non-hydrolyzable metabolites. Before oviposition quantity reached 29.8+/-1.85 ng 20-hydroxyecdysone equiv. per mg tissue 13.1+/-3.55 20E equiv./mg females. sum RIA-positive materials newly laid was more than three times higher eggs. Ecdysteroids present egg extracts comprised 85% 10% On other hand, after termination amount increased drastically. Also, composition differed that observed during became comparable to significant differences between may suggest possible involvement these compounds control embryonic this locust.
